He has 25 years of experience in poverty reduction and sustainable economic and social development in the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region at the Inter-American Development Bank based in Washington, D.C. In 2020, he returned to Japan and established a general incorporated association, Goromu, to establish a social entrepreneurship program through international exchanges between young people in Japan and the LAC region. In October 2023, he established Treasure Tourism, Inc., a company that plans experiential tours that grew out of the Goromu project, to promote cross-cultural exchange through inbound tours from the LAC region.

He worked for a tourism company for 30 years. During that time, he worked at amusement parks, golf courses, ski resorts, and in the transportation industry (buses and taxis). While working for the company, he obtained a travel service license and a regional interpreter and guide (Korean). After leaving the company, he ran his own travel agency and also taught Korean. He would like to introduce the charms of Yamanashi Prefecture, his hometown, and Japan to people around the world.

I was born and raised near the Seto Inland Sea in Kagawa Prefecture, Shikoku, famous for its udon noodles. My dream since childhood was to travel around the world. With the money I saved from my part-time job during college, I traveled within Japan, as well as to Spain, Australia. As an adult, I enjoyed mountain climbing in Switzerland, Mont Saint-Michel in France, Florence and Venice in Italy, and marine sports in beautiful Tahiti. Having traveled extensively within Japan, I would like to share many wonderful aspects of this country. I also love wine and sake, and I am a certified sake taster and plan to organize sake tours. His work as an actor in Argentina has been his most important professional development to date, but he has also worked in various audiovisual media and other management areas, most prominently in tourism and high-performance soccer development. Based on his cultural and ancestral knowledge, he has coordinated the production of numerous tourism and history programs and documentaries on South America, especially Argentina, for the Japanese TV stations NHK, TBS, FUJI, and MBS. He has also coordinated Argentinean tours to India, Egypt, and other countries around the world. Currently, he is helping to promote Treasure Tourism in Yamanashi Prefecture.

Born and raised in Yamanashi, surrounded by nature, I enjoy outdoor sports such as mountain climbing. I have experience studying abroad in Korea and volunteering in Nepal, and I’ve come to appreciate the unique qualities of Japan that became apparent to me during my time overseas. Now, as a member of Treasure Tourism, I would like to convey the charms of Japan to customers from other countries and offer travel suggestions to everyone.
